Hello everybody and welcome to this blog. I hope people feel at ease and find something that has not found in any other place. At least I didn’t, so I started with this.

¿Por qué monté el blog? / Why did I started this blog?

Tras años de presencia bastante activa en Internet, que me ha servido mucho en materia musical para descubrir nuevos grupos y conocer amigos (heteros) que comparten gustos conmigo a menudo he pensado que es imposible que sea la única persona que le guste el rock alternativo y también los hombres. Hay comunidades casi de todo pero no he conocido nunguna con estos parámetros (si la conoceis, hacedmelo saber).

Parece que toda la música que puede gustar a un homosexual se reduce al house, al dance más hortera y a las divas del pop. ¿Acaso soy el único homosexual sin “pluma” al que le gusten Nirvana, Fugazi, Joy Division, Pixies, Queens of the Stone Age y ese tipo de bandas? ¿Me tiene que gustar Madonna por el simple hecho de ser gay? Espero que no y que alguién más me apoye en este tema xD

After years of being actively present in Internet, a tool that has been very useful to me for finding new bands and know friends (straight) with which share tastes, I’ve often thought that is impossible  that I’m the only person into alternative rock and also into men. There are communities of almost every thing but I haven’t found any who matches these parametres (if you did, just let me know).

It seems that all the music that a homosexual can like it’s just house, cheesiest dance and pop divas. Am I the only non affeminate homosexualthat likes Nirvana, Fugazi, Joy Division, Pixies, Queens of the Stone Age and that kind of stuff? Do I have to like Madonna just because I am gay? I hope not and also hope to find somebody who supports me with this xD

¿Por qué “rocker and proud”? / Why “rocker and proud”?

En realidad el título es tan descriptivo como puede ser sarcástico. Nunca he creído en el “orgullo”, no me parece que ser gay sea como para enorgullecerse o no enorgullecerse. No es que sea un don ni nada así. Pero esa palabra tan asociada al movimiento homosexual me servía para evitar la palabra gay (demasiado trillada y vacía de significado) u homosexual (demasiado larga xD).

In fact, the title is as descriptive as can be sarcastic. I’ve never believed in “pride”, I don’t think that eing gay must be something to be or not to be proud of. It’s nothing like a gift or something simmilar. But that word seems to be so associated to the homosexual community that I could avoid the “gay” word (overused and with lack of meaning) or homosexual (too long xD).

¿Es un blog de música o de estilo de vida gay? / Is this a music blog or about gay lifestyle?

Teniendo en cuenta que mi estilo de vida es bastante poco gay (o lo que se entiende por ello) se puede decir que el blog será de música. Recomendaré música, tenga o no conexiones con la homosexualidad, pondré links que me parezcan interesantes, etc. Aunque en definitiva lo que me gustaría sería encontrar gente dispuesta a aportar algo, lo que sea. Y por favor si te gusta, házmelo saber, me hará ilusión. Una última cosa importante, muerte a los ghettos, todo el mundo es bienvenido aquí (salvo fans de Madonna, obviamente xD).

As long as my lifestyle is far away from being “gay” it can be said that the blog will be mostly about music. I will do recommendations, with connections or no with homosexuality, I will put links that can be interesting, etc. What I would like ultimately is to find people willing to help this to grow in any way. And please, if you like this, let me know, it’ll make me happy. One last and important thing, death to the ghettos, everybody is welcome here and I mean straight people (but Madonna fans will be prosecuted and exterminated, obviously xD).

¿Son los músicos que aparecen aquí gays o les gustan los hombres? / Are the musicians in this blog gay or attracted to men?

Por supuesto que no. No me gustaría que hubiera equívocos en esto. Son sólo tipos que me atraen tanto por su talento como por su físico, en su mayor porcentaje serán totalmente heterosexuales, algunos incluso casados y con hijos. De todos modos no me parece algo importante, pero no quiero hacer ninguna difamación sobre su orientación sexual, simplemente resaltar mi admiración por ellos, como se haría en un blog sobre chicas escrito por un hombre hetero.

Of course not and I wouldn’t like there would be any doubt on this. They’re just guys that catch my eye both for their talent and their physical presence. Mostly they will be totally straight, some of them even married and with children. It’s not something so relevant, but I don’t want to make any difamation about their sexual orientation, just to show my admiration for them, just the same way as a straight dude would do in a celebrity girls’ blog.
